Shek Mun

That's the name of our stop on the MTR, the train system in Hong Kong. Yes, we have been venturing!  We have been to several malls, grocery stores, noodle shops, and last night, downtown to see the skyline and eat some AMERICAN FOOD!!!  Actually, we decided that we felt SO GROSS after our burgers that we should stick to noodles.  It's super cheap anyway (maybe 7 bucks for both of us?).  Ok.  So let me start over.  We're HERE!!! The awaited lifetime change has begun.  We made it with no glitches, our luggage, flights, pickup--it was all perfect.  Our apartment is beautiful and plenty of space.  The silverfish and cockroaches that join us every few days are NOT as welcome but we are dealing with it!  Anyway.  Hong Kong is stunning.  I am anxious to get internet and phones in our apartment just to get connected with everyone and show pictures and a tour of the school and apartment.  We are trying to be patient and tomorrow will hopefully be the day!  Until then, Taylor and I are planning on having a slower day today, maybe grocery shopping, watching some DVD's we brought or work on his classroom.  We have met lots of wonderful friends that moved in with us on the 7th floor so there is almost always something going on.  We miss, miss, miss everyone back at home but really do believe this is where we're supposed to be.  Prayers for productive weeks in our classrooms would be great and we can't wait to call home!!
