We're growing! And it's finally public knowledge! How fun to share this with our friends and family. We're going to be parents! It is most definitely still settling in. Of course, there are moments where it feels so crazy to be across the world and planning for a baby, but we know it's God's perfect timing.
A few of the different things about a baby in Hong Kong are: no car seat (you just hold the baby in a taxi), you book your hospital room in advance (so wait, can I expect it to feel like a vacation?!), apartment living (might not even have a nursery but a corner of the living room!), public transportation (need to be able to hold the baby while folding up and lifting the stroller onto a bus with 1 hand). We are learning! And this is all without experience. I can't imagine coming to visit the states after raising a baby here and the ease of some things (or maybe it will feel harder...).
We got to spend a few days with Taylor's parents over Spring Break and they snapped some announcement shots for us just as it was beginning to pour--perfect timing, though, because we got them done!
Just after this, the guys took a taxi up to a house on the island and picked up a baby crib that was never used. We trekked across the city on different buses carrying the crib in several pieces. Life is so different here, but that makes it fun!
