What Happens in Mexico...

While it still feels like we are in a daze, we are able to look back fondly on our honeymoon to Playa del Carmen.  This was Stacia's first time out of the country and Taylor considered this the part he was most excited for.  Our flight left early the morning after the wedding (left for the airport at 3 am), and we sleepily found our way to our seats.  Stacia does not remember anything from ANY of the flights to and from Mexico because of her new favorite drug, Dramamine.

Taylor was able to catch up on all the movies Stacia doesn't like with the personal touch screen TV we each had on the plane.  Everything was well organized once we got to Mexico and we were shuttled to our hotel and upgraded to a suite for being honeymooners.  We tried to get upgrades on the plane but the bridal tank top and veil got us nothing!

Once we were able to finally relax, we did so for many consecutive hours without even noticing it.  We did not know whether it was night or day in our room and slept until the wedding planning exhaustion wore off!  Both of us were sick--keeping us from wanting to do much more than lay on the beach.

Over the 5 days we were there though, we were able to rent a mo-ped and tour Playa del Carmen (mainly the outdoor mall, of course!), celebrate New Years with a huge resort party, get a massage, sea kayak, souvenier shop, and eat all day long!

We enjoyed 80 degree weather and time to catch up on some reading, pottery painting, and the realization that we have found the person we will spend the rest of our lives with--so, so, SO, great!

So while the New Year has officially been here for 15 days, the Williams' are just now getting around to wishing everyone a happy one--and the Playa del Carmen way!
